Dr. Wittenberg earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Ithaca College with honors in 1991.  He had a concentration in Neuroscience with a minor in writing.  After college, Dr. Wittenberg had a career in research working in Nueroscience at Case Western University, University Maryland At Baltimore Medical Center, and the Kennedy Krieger institute at the Johns Hopkins University.

After graduation from medical school,  Dr. Wittenberg went on to do a 3-year surgical residency at the Miami Veteran’s Hospital.  Under the direction of Dr. Michael Cohen, an author for a portion of the Comprehensive Textbook of Foot Surgery from which all Podiatric surgeons are trained, he would learn about every possible pathology related to the foot and ankle, and  how to treat them. 

After graduating from residency, Dr. Wittenberg practiced for 2 years in Chicago, followed by 2 years in Massachusetts at various clinics and organizations.  He then founded his Podiatry clinic, Apache Foot & Ankle Specialists in Las Vegas, NV  in 2006. 

Dr. Wittenberg is Board Certified by the American Board of Lower Extremity Surgery, as well as by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.  Dr. Wittenberg performs all surgical procedures related to the foot and ankle.  Dr. Wittenberg is also a wound care and limb-salvage specialist.

On his free time, Dr. Wittenberg enjoys time with his 4 rescue dogs.  Dr. Wittenberg likes to ski, participate in equestrian sports, play tennis, and is an amateur photographer.  He very much enjoys traveling to new and exotic places, and has visited many countries and continents.  Dr. Wittenberg is also a foodie, and enjoys culinary delights of all different kinds.   Dr. Wittenberg is also an admirer of all forms of art.
